What I have read over the years is they were made in 1962 / 63 for Yamaha by Young-Gin guitars in South Korea. These were supposed to be Yamaha's early entry in budget guitars. This is quite a unique amp which has been lost to history. Information is a little hard to find, but what I have found on it has been very positive.

Firstly, for 100W it is incredibly loud! And despite its age it is also very clean sounding, even compared to some modern amplifiers.

This a 45 year old, Made in Taiwan example of the Yamaha CG-110 classical guitar with a cedar top. (110a and 110s came later and have different type of wood for the top)
Its serial number appears as 81221572
As expected from a used guitar of its age, there are a few marks where the lacquer is showing the passage of time or rather the knocks the instrument had to endure

A vintage stratocaster from Yamaha Japan built in 1980-81 that presents beautifully with a natural ash body and finish. According to the catalogs is a 54' type reissue with a rosewood (not the usual maple) fretboard. Really well made, built to last a lifetime and in very good condition. Pickups have that true vintage tone. Guitar is fault free and plays, sounds lovely. As good as any of the other brands produced in Japan during this era but without the over inflated price tag. Beautiful and historic 1967-1972 made in Japan Yamaha hollowbody electric guitar. Top of the range SA-50 model (others were SA-30 and SA-20). Upmarket fretboard and headstock inlays. Sounds great and has low action. NEEDS A SERVICE AS NECK PICKUP HAS LOST CONTACT. Currently only the bridge pickup is working. Seems to just be a loose wire. No major damage or severe fret-wear.
Overall very pretty, with the cosmetic flaws of a relic. Missing vibrato bar.... more

Yamaha SL450S Studio Lord, made in Japan 1982-83, Brown sunburst. The Studio Lord was Yamaha's Les Paul style offerings, made from 1976-83.
