Early 1960s Watkins Rapier 33 electric guitar. Matching red headstock
Serial 1634 so an early production version, set neck with 3 single coil pickups
Its a little tired condition wise but a good chance for an afffordable 60s vintage guitar. Its just had a fret dress and some small attention to the nut and new strings fitted.
The lacquer is very checked all over and the tuners are obvious replacements with the top E tuners corner modified to follow the shape of the headstock. Not ... more

Watkins Rapier 44 electric guitar made in England in roughly 1964. The guitar shows signs of its age but has no major damage. It has been worked on and set up by a professional luthier. It has had a full fret level and dress, the bridge posts repaired, a fully bespoke bone nut installed and the neck has been shimmed with a solid maple shim as shown in the pictures. 1970s WEM Dominator mk 3.
All original in nice clean condition for its age, please see photos. The cloth grill has sparkly thread woven through and it still glitters. Very nice. It just looks grey in the photos, but it actually sparkles.
The amp is all working fine, and sounds really nice, but the treble boost switch is missing it works on channel 1 only. I have had the board out and cleaned the pots, there is still a treble pot that crackles abit. All the valves are Mullard 2 x EL84 ... more

This guitar is unlabelled but is definitely a 1970??s or late 60??s Wilson and as such is superb. There??s some very minor damage to the back of the neck but it??s very minor, at the body end and so slight I couldn??t get a photo of it. You can feel it but not in a way which bothers. All else is just fine! Freshly restrung and good to go!

Up for sale is a very rare 1970s Left handed Wilson Rapier. As you'll be no doubt aware, Wilson was formerly Watkins / WEM, and briefly had a plethora of updated models from the former line-up. One of those was the famous Rapier, and this is a superb example, complete with a natural wood finish, clear scratchplate, humbuckers, and a maple fretboard
The action is quite high, so this guitar will need a decent setup. As far as I know, electrics should work, though I don't have an amp at home ... more

The case is completely black - I have not seen another of these on eBay so assume it is rare
The serial number is 10546. The label has detached from the box but you can still see the place where it has been.

Vintage 1973 Celestion g12S speaker
20ws @ 16 ohms with a 50hZ bass cone
This came out of a WEM dominator that was broken for spares, perfect if you have an early seventies WEM dominator and want a WEM spec driver

For sale is a super rare iteration of Watkins' iconic Westminster valve amp, dating from 1959-60 (made in England). Rarer still, it is pretty much original condition
Having done my research this iteration is unique for its control panel featuring 2 separate volume and tone controls for each of the 2 inputs, as well as 6AQ5 output valves. Charlie Watkins is quoted as stating that only 10 of these were made, and they were much-favoured by jazz players of the time.

So here's an oddity. This is a WEM Songbird dedicated Accordion Combo Amp.
It's a full range map with 4 input channels and  a built in spring reverb unit
It's working and comes great (see video) but it needs some contact lube as the pots are crackly and dusty
This is a very heavy amp so you'll need to arrange collection or come and pick it up yourself

Vintage early seventies strap handle
Made in west Germany, slightly different design to the normal strap handle that all the usual suspect used
The usual wear it is however fully functional
I have seen these used on WEM copicats, Park heads and also on some CMI(Marshall) stuff

Set of x7 vintage 1970's Taiwanese amplifier control knobs
these will fit a 1 / 4" shaft and afix with grub screws
these are just over an inch wide and are nice and heavy not cheap like the later knobs in this style
Perfect if you have a vintage seventies amplifier / FX unit and want some period correct knobs
Buy them before I decide to buy an amp to put them on!!

This rare vintage WEM Dominator 60 Valve Combo Guitar Amplifier has 2 channels and 1 Celestion 12" speaker. There is some cat-scratch damage to the grill cloth at the bottom right (see pic 4) but it is otherwise in reasonable condition for its age.

Hard to date exactly but Wilson branded WEM guitars were post 1968 and according to Watkins guitar world circa 1972 guitars were in the 18000 serial number range, this is serial 17195 so as a guess its from between 1968 - 1972
