Vintage guitars for sale: Tokai

This is a 1980s Tokai Hard Puncher P Bass with a black finish. Post-lawsuit, Tokai was still making convincing and faithful recreations with the single caveat of a new headstock design. It has a comfortable C shaped maple neck with a rosewood board and its pickup is, well, super punchy. It's in great shape with some nicks and dings here and there. This is a 1981 Tokai PB40 Hard Puncher with a Candy Apple Red finish. This P-bass was possibly a custom order with its rare Maple board and matching headstock. Northwest Vintage guitars brings you an uncommon find from 1982.  Tokai called this their "TSG50 1976 Refined Model" and it's easy to see why.  It looks and feels just like a 76 Gibson SG and Tokai wasn't hiding that. And the Solid Mahogany body and one piece Mahogany neck were better specs than Gibson was cranking out at the time.  They even threw in a volute and the SMALL open book headstock to round out the package

This is my beautiful Tokai Goldstar Sound that has had some massive upgrades. I think you would struggle to find anything with this spec at this sort of price. The pickups alone cost £300!
If you are looking here then you'll know the reputation these Japanese 80s Tokai's have. The downside on these original guitars is that the pickups are poor to average (depending on which model you have) and the electronics are not great either

I would say fair condition for a 40 year old guitar it has some marks and dints I had it refretted with jumbo frets as the frets were worn down when I got it I have the original tone and volume knobs too I'm selling because I want to raise funds for a nice acoustic I have listed it as collection only because I don't have a hard case to ship it but if you contact me I might be able to post it or I could meet half way within reason... more

Tokai st100 1980 Stratocaster. This guitar could arguably be the nicest sunburst st100 that ever left the factory. Given its wonderful pronounced figure on the top and the back. Good luck trying to find one better. It??s been played, there is some tarnishing to the neck plate and saddles. Body and neck are in superb condition. Rare Tokai ST80 from the early 1980s, body and neck have matching numbers, see pics. Sought after E-series grey pickups and original braided wiring / 25k pots. Neck is straight with rare AAA flame maple, stamped D at fret 21, I assume this is the shape which is full and rounded. Minimal fret wear. Fabulous and authentic 'road worn' Made in Japan from the golden era of Tokai. It's had a pro refret and set up and new bone nut, and a new pickup selector switch with the original included. So good to go for another 40+ years! Vintage Tweed hard case as well and strap. You can see from the receipt this was obtained in Denmark St, London.
