This is a 1981 Tokai PB40 Hard Puncher with a Candy Apple Red finish. This P-bass was possibly a custom order with its rare Maple board and matching headstock. Tokai early 80s Goldstar. Copy of 1960s "S" type with rosewood neck. Really nice condition for a guitar of this age, but does have a few minor scuffs and knocks. There is some wear to the frets but still perfectly playable, enough meat for a fret dress if desired. This came into my possession a few years back when the original owner passed. Great Lake Deluxe guitars were made in Japan during the 70s and early 80s. They may of been owned or administered by Tokai.
