Windsor Banjo
A five string English banjo with parallel neckand tunnelled 5th which allows it to be used as a plectrum banjo ifdesired.
??Paramount Supremus?? is marked on the peg-head. All original includedshaped case.
For its age this banjo is in excellent condition. It can be strungwith steel or nylon strings. It has the original resonator and Pyxe tailpiece It has an 11 inch archtop rim with 28 tension hooks all in very good conditionplus original key to tighten the head.

New Windsor English Mandolin Banjo 1920s - Birmingham - For Restoration This was made by Arthur Octavius Windsor of 94 Newhall Street, Birmingham, Windsor is credited with inventing the Mandolin Banjo around 1893 I think this example dates to the 1920s It lacks a bridge and strings, it lacks one piece of mother of pearl inlay to the fretboard and the top 5 frets are quite worn The tuner keys look like they will need replacement as one is odd, most have cracks and one appears repaired with glue, ... more
