This is a vintage 12 string tailpiece from a Matsumoku guitar, made in Japan. These were used on 12 string guitars made by Matsumoku in the late 60s and early 70s, primarily on those branded as Univox (like the Coily models) and probably on those with other brands, such as Lyle, Aria, Conrad, Pan, Conqueror, Encore, and Bruno

Univox A mandolin looks to be made by Kay. When this mandolin came in to us the seams were split everywhere and and it needed to be completely disasseblend and rebuilt and thats exactly what we did. All new glue joints and then it was on to setup and fret work. We used GHS LS250 silk and steel strings. We dressed all the frets and the mandolin is playing great with low action and no buzzing. This is a nice Hofner copy of the Beatle Bass Paul used. We believe it to be a Univox or Teisco 1960's. Electronics all work however the tone just has a little static noise when you turn it volume works great and so does the tone other than that drop of static while turning (probably a very good electronics cleaning is in order). This 10w tube amp features volume, tone and tremolo controls on the face, three inputs for Guitar, Acc and Aux, plus a footswitch input. For your consideration is a vintage 1974 Univox Hi-Flyer Hi-Flier Phase II in black finish. One heckuva bass!
Headstock looks great, does have a few nicks and dings. Frets and fretboard are in tremendous shape. The neck is thinner, and plays smoothly. The body also has a handful of nicks and dings. Some of the dings have gone through the finish and to the wood, and have been "touched up" by a permanent marker

This came from a 1972 Jedson Jet that I parted out. Also used on other Matsumoku made guitars - Aria, Univox, Shaftesbury etc - but also some other early japanese solid bodies - maybe Greco, Ibanez etc. It's quite distinct - look at the pics and you'll know whether you need it

In a very much played condition (see copious photos), has been well gigged. Has plenty of dints, dents, buckle rash, scraps and swirls Effects have been taken out. The guitar is vol, vol, tone like a jazz bass circuit. With the edition of phase in and out selector switch which is working. Paper in oil tone capacitor.
