Beautiful vintage 1977 Takamine ??lawsuit era?? 12-string guitar, serial number 77121312. It is in very good plus condition and sounds amazing. There are minor light blemishes, some wear in the neck and a small chip in the bottom left corner on the front, but in general a beautiful condition guitar (please see pics). Currently strung with 6 strings as I used it for a professional recording and needed a 6-string sound. It plays very nicely with great action and the sound is rich, full, and bright... more

I'm selling the artwork more than the guitar but I will describe the condition of the guitar as well. Lets take a look at the guitar first. Its a lawsuit takamine F340. These were made very well and play and sound amazing. This one has a few issues. One is the bridge which has pulled away from the body. Still stays in tune and the action isnt so high that you can't play it at or at least strum it. Finish on the top would need to be redone but again I'm selling the artwork more than the guitar.... more

This guitar is in great shape and plays and sounds just as good. Being 50 years old it has only light wear consistent with use. No visible cracks or separation anywhere. A brace under the bridge was installed in the 1990s to improve structural integrity. See it in the pictures.

Up for sale is a very cool 1974 Takamine 375S in Natural. This example features a spruce top w / very "Brazilian" looking back and sides. Overall in very good condition less some scattered play wear and finish wear. The action is on the medium side and the saddle is about as low as it will go. As a cowboy chord strummer this thing is great but up in the higher register the action is medium. Sounds great with fair action. Comes complete with an older hard case. Weight: 4lbs. 9oz.

Takamine F400S 'Lawsuit' 12-String Dreadnought Circa 1977 with later Pickup and Hiscox Hardcase
A beautiful sounding instrument, from the era when Takamine were told to cease and disist by the Martin lawyers for copying their products outright.
At some point a pickup has been sympathetically added to this instrument and the jack output is situated within the stap button
The S suffix designates that the top is solid spruce, rather than laminate spuce used in the F400

The serial suggests it was built in April of 1978

It has the ??Martin?? style logo, a laminate Spruce top and most of all for a guitar that??s this old, the body and neck are in decent nick
