This listing is for a Vintage 1970's Seller Scintillation Spring Reverb Unit. This unit was made in the U K. in the 1970's and is a battery powered spring reverb effect unit. The effect unit is mostly working and has a very lush and thick reverb which will cause the unit to feedback a lot so it is not terribly practical for normal use. This is very difficult to identify and put an exact model to. I have owned this cabinet for years and it has had very little use in the time I??ve owned it. I??m not sure if it??s the build quality of that era or if it??s had any modifications but please see images for reference.

It has some wear to the covering but it's good considering how old it is. The amp works well and sounds great even with only tone and volume controls plus a lead / bass switch. Selmer Treble and Bass 100SV. 100w from 4 EL34. Fully gone over, new caps, valves, shared screen grid resistors replaced with individual ones to avoid a stability issue that comes up with these. loaded with an octet of Celestion 10w 16 ohm ceramic speakers
Making each cab 16 ohms @ 40 watts
these are great guitar speakers, perfect for tracking, not much difference in sound between these and a Marshall 8x10
The usual wear and dents, no logos but the tolex is the really nice water effect tolex that Selmer didn??t use for long! (you also see this on mid sixties Watkins stuff)

Here we have a great and rare amplifier - Last year of Treble N' Bass 50 Reverb
before going to silver face. These amps do sound incredible.
2x EL34 valves and the preamp valves are ECC83.

These are the slightly later version of the handle that fitted more flush to the side of the cabinet so were less prone to getting chipped and broken light the earlier ones. Used from the 1970's on.

Here we have a real rarity. This cabinet is taken from a mid 1960's Selmer Twin Lead 30. The Twin Lead 30 was an unusual type of combo amplifier whereby the amp itself was in a metal case mounted on top of the speaker cabinet. Lovely Selmer catalogue from 1966 full of many great names like Gibson, Hagstrom Hofner etc, even Beatles guitar strings!
In very good used condition for its nearly 60 years of age, the staples are intact and attached, just a few marks as to be expected. 36 pages, complete and full of information (and such low prices compared to some values now).
These brochures are very collectable now, hard to find in this condition, and costing less than the other one in my photos.

Fantastic, rare Selmer Twin Bass 30 valve combo. A bit of an oddball and all the better for it. The 30 watt valve head sits on top of the cabinet in a steel box and contains a pair of EL605 power pentodes, an ECC83 and a GZ34 rectifier valve. It all works. If I was keeping this (I'm not as I quite like being married) I'd replace all the electrolytic capacitors, and check and replace as necessary the other components too, as it's over 50 years old. It's unclear how many (or how few?) of these cabinets Selmer made in the late 60s or early 70s and they are not listed in catalogues of the period. I've gone right through the Vintage Hofner site to see if there is any mention of them and there isn't. Pedal plays just as it did back in the day. Have given it a spray for the pots to make it a smooth and quiet as possible. This hasn??t been modded or messed with since I??ve owned it (25 years). Just not getting the time I would like on the instruments so it??s time to pass it on to a fellow muso. Batteries have been taken out to stop corrosion.
