Needs work: This beauty has the typical neck bend at the 12th fret and the truss nut is frozen. The neck needs to be steam-straightened and probably some fret work.
It plays well with low action up to the 10th fret with the bridge wheels off (included -see picture). With them on it plays with high action up to the 12th fret before strings fret out

Early- to mid-1950s Kay K-22 jumbo flat top acoustic. Solid spruce top, with back and sides of laminated mahogany. Ladder braced. Bridge was totally mangled (brass bolts / nuts had started to pull up from excess tension) but replaced with an NOS Kay bridge from the same era. Slight and stable risen areas on the top behind the anchor bolts, but I contoured the new bridge over these for better fit. Very minor. Good to very good condition. Body certainly has wear and blemishes for being over 60 years old. It was just professionally tuned and cleaned up, neck adjusted, bridge adjusted, pots cleaned and electronics serviced, new end pin. It has all original parts as far as I know. The action is somewhat high, but plays incredibly well. The electronics sound great, but the volume (lower knob) has some static up to about 70% and the static goes away. Vintage 1960s Teisco pickup, made in Japan and taken from a Kay 'K' branded guitar , other parts in my other listings. This pickup came from the bridge position but I think it would suit any position with this type of pickup

In a very much played condition (see copious photos), has been well gigged. Has plenty of dints, dents, buckle rash, scraps and swirls Effects have been taken out. The guitar is vol, vol, tone like a jazz bass circuit. With the edition of phase in and out selector switch which is working. Paper in oil tone capacitor.
