Vintage! Kay Old Kraftsman 6 String Acoustic Parlor Guitar Tobacco Burst 1960's. I believe this is a kraftsman guitar   Definitely a parlor size guitar   The guitar is in very nice condition. Early- to mid-1950s Kay K-22 jumbo flat top acoustic. Solid spruce top, with back and sides of laminated mahogany. Ladder braced. Bridge was totally mangled (brass bolts / nuts had started to pull up from excess tension) but replaced with an NOS Kay bridge from the same era. Slight and stable risen areas on the top behind the anchor bolts, but I contoured the new bridge over these for better fit. Very minor. I also enhanced the scarfed-up area of the top under the bridge for better glue hold. ... more

I liked the look of the guitar so I purchased it (on the internet) To my surprise, I found the whole guitar was covered in clear melted plastic bubblewrap when first looked it over. Mainly on the back of the guitar.

Guitar electronics, pickups and switches work. Neck does have a good bit of twist in it, at least in the best direction for playing. I put new strings on it, but didn't do any real setup or mess with the fretts. Frett wear is minimal for this old of a guitar. Any questions, please ask.

This is a beautiful Relic'ed Mario Martin S-Style that's an absolute joy to play. It's an early-50s "Mary Kaye" style build, with a beautifully-grained swamp ash body, super thin white blonde finish, and a killer medium to heavy relic job. Per usual with Mario's offerings, the fretwork is absolutely perfect and the neck shape is a very comfortable '50s "chunky C" shape. It was just professionally tuned and cleaned up, neck adjusted, bridge adjusted, pots cleaned and electronics serviced, new end pin. It has all original parts as far as I know. Kansas parlour style guitar built under license from Kay in Romania some time between 1958 and 1964 (I believe). The condition is incredibly good considering the age. There are small marks around the edges of the sides and front / back join - where the binding would be - but otherwise it looks fantastic. There is no wear to any of the frets and the do not look to have been replaced - there is some overspray still visible on the zero fret.

Old Kay bass plays very well , as you can see thee scratch plate doesn??t cover an hole completely at the bottom that??s never bothered me or caused a problem it also has some quite large chips at the bottom back of the body, it??s an old bass and looks like it as well , so if you like your guitars to look new this is not for you . Kay k442, made in 1976. I got this guitar at auction with a bit of work needing doing, it??s had new strings, new tuning keys, new string pins at the bridge. There is no truss rod adjustment on these. I went for it as it is a show stopper with the double pick guard.
