Very nice 1976 Guild D25M dreadnought in well-played but solid condition. All original. Solid spruce top and mahogany sides, but I think the backs of these were laminate to hold up to the pressed arch Guild used (instead of flat and braced). Guitar was quite neglected (but not physically abused), but the finish buffed out and polished nicely. Neck set is tight and spot-on, top and bridge are flat, and all bracing and seams are tight. It's NOW TIME!! The sad day I have to let this go. The seriel number dates the guitar to 1953. It plays great, the neck is smooth and easy to navigate. The tuning pegs are excellent, but I would replace the pegs. I bought the guitar from a Blue grass Guitar shop in Asheville NC in 2011. It feels great to play it and it sounds like heaven. With this guitar, I bring to the table what few of the other Guild 12's for sale on EBAY or Reverb have: a recent neck reset with receipt for the work. I'm telling you guys, you can buy one of these 60's or 70's Guild's for a little less, but you are going to be let down by the play-ability.
