Vintage 1957 Fender Duo Sonic.

I bought this guitar about 10 years ago from a friend that passed away and had a guitar collection. I found the guitar in the condition shown on the second picture. For some reason the guitar had been gutted out in the area of the pick guard, I have no idea why. Maybe to do some kind of modification. Who knows. The pickups on this guitar are not the original pickups, the pickups are Custom Shop Seymour Duncan Antiquities that were put in more recently. Aside from the pickup switch, everything underneath the pickguard has been replaced.

I believe it started life as a translucent red, mahogany body 1966 Duo Sonic. The pictures tell the story. Massive routing, electronics replaced, pickguard holes, tuners missing, decal messed up, etc
The good news is the neck is in overall good shape and the frets are actually OK-ish. The original neckplate is included, and one of the original pickups is included. Although, it needs to be rewound
