This gorgeous archtop has a maple fretboard and original maple bridge. It's very rare to find such an early example in amazing condition and 100% original. The maple also makes it super light and gives it a fantastic tone. I've had a look and resources online date this to 1956 from the series number inside the f-hole (3229).

Here is a 1958, first year for this model, Hofner Senator. Serial number in the 6000 range. The guitar plays really well although the Hoyer pickup doesn't seem to work, but could easily be removed. The bridge has a small split at the bass end and there is a very small crack where the neck has moved slightly from the heel - but these in no way affects playability and would be an easy fix if wanted. Very rare The Aristone Besson guitar.

It has been repaired from some modifications a previous owner made. The holes (clearly shown in the pictures) were repaired using more spruce wood. This at least helped me learn this guitar was made with solid woods and carved solid spruce top. The back is solid, with a flamed veneer.
It was all refinished with blonde shellac. It looks great, and has an astonishing flamed back.

Still thinning out my collection, this is my 1950's Martin Coletti Archtop Guitar, with Carved Spruce Top, Maple Back and Sides, and a stained Maple re-fretted board. Neck is straight and true, action is low and fast. She's covered in finish checking, and has the dings and scratches you can see in the pictures and would expect for an ol' gal of her age. Tuners are later replacements. She resides in a later hard shell case

Hofner Senator Brunette, made in Germany in 1963.
Repaired as the headstock broke off. I used glue, screws, and wood for support. In my experience, it won??t break again.
The repair was painted over, it looks and feels pretty good.
Apart from that, all the accessories were replaced, so it lost most of its collectible value, but it is still a very good looking German 60??s archtop guitar that sounds and plays amazing.

I was told it is the same model and year as George Harrison??s first good guitar when I got it, and I checked it back then.
The only details to take into account are: the pickguard is missing, the paint on the first fret section of the neck has some wear, and there are some cracks on the veneer at the back
The rest is in great condition, very little fret wear, straight neck, lovely look, and playing amazing.

Beautiful old Framus Archtop Guitar in amazing condition. The finish on this ol girl is immaculate for its age, probably being from the 50s.
Unfortunately no labels or numbers inside the f holes but as you can see it says 'New England' on the body. I haven't really been able to find any info on this, but a fellow in one of the facebook archtop groups reckons it's a Framus UK Export model. That still doesn't mean anything to me, but it may mean something to people in the know
