This is handmade 1973 Alvarez 12 string by the famous Kazuo Yairi . This fast, thin neck, 12 string has very low action, plays beautiful. I'm a blues player and had no playing issues with it. Loved the low action! There are a few nicks on the body, but very minor. There is also some fading with the clear coat finish along the back inlay and headstock shown in pics. This is a very beautiful birdseye maple guitar with a solid spruce top, made by Alvarez in Japan in 1972. Model number is 5038 which places it in the 4-digit Artist Series. Some dings all over but in good condition; there is a hairline crack at the neck and the bridge looks to have been reglued (see pictures), you want to be gentle with this guitar, otherwise it is solid and plays and sounds wonderful.

This is a really cool vintage 12 string acoustic guitar! Quality made in Japan. Fully functional. The neck and bridge are firmly attached. Could use a new set of strings. We played the instrument and could play it fine. We had a little desire to lower the saddle more, which would require a filing to get lower. There??s some cosmetic flaws on the instrument, but nothing major. Some slight finish blush on the guitar, but very faint and not as bad as others of the same model. Very cool vibe... more
