This is a rare Made in Japan Squier by Fender Jazz Bass. The serial number indicates that it was made between 1984 and 1987. It is finished in black paint, presumably with a maple neck and a rosewood fretboard (although I can't verify the wood species myself)

1987 Greco SPF-55 Device with Spirit Energy
When I bought this guitar I was told it was a Greco neck on a Fender Contemporary body made in Japan
I had no real reason to believe it wasn??t a genuine Fender Contemporary body because of the shape and amenities of the guitar, specially the Fender adjustable bridge
When I got it in I disassembled the guitar to find the neck and body have the same model number stamped on them, so that threw me off

Last year for Matsumoku guitars, this 1987 Spectrum 2 showcases their build for a shredding superstrat guitar. Very low action and heavy metal tone Is just what the doctor ordered. A great player with several bumps and chips as shown in pics but just cosmetic. Very little fretwear on neck. Missing Allen wrenches, locking nut blocks and screws and no trem arm. Weighs in at 8 5lbs. Plays out nicely. Comes with rough OHSC but protects guitar.

This listing is for a Vintage 1987 Fender Stratocaster that made in Japan and has a factory installed Kahler tremolo-vibrato. This guitar shows heavy cosmetic wear but plays and sounds very good.
