This is a one of a kind and a very special 1958 Les Paul Gold Top. Best sounding late 50's paf guitar I have ever played! Maybe it's because it only weighs 8 1 pounds? Ultra light and resonant. My guess is that is the secret sauce on this one? This guitar is a rare work of art by the most famous Les Paul Artist in the world, "Tom Murphy " . This is a 1958 5F8 Tweed Twin chassis. Serial #A00053
Obviously, its pretty rough, but it works, and it screams.
When I got it (chassis only), it had been neglected for years and was a mess. It needed a full cap job, new 3 prong cable, fuse holder, a few of the pots replaced, 1 input jack, the rectifier socket, and little bit of wiring cleanup work.

Physical Condition
This guitar is in great condition with only some light wear. There are a few light scuffs and swirl marks on the body, the back of the neck has very slightly glossed over from playing, and there is some light tarnishing on the hardware, but clean condition overall. Otherwise, there is no other cosmetic damage to make note of aside from some superficial scratches associated with normal play and use. Overall, this is a great sounding and playing guitar

It has the earliest serial number I??ve seen on a double cutaway Les Paul Junior.
The pick up may have been rewound as the solder joint looks re-done. The pots have 1957 date codes.

Restored about 12 years ago in California. This Bass has had quiet a few changes including a professional re-finish to the body and a pro re-fret. It was originally sunburst which is still some there in the pickup Calverty. Both the Neck and Body pencil dates are present, the pickguard is a replacement - I don't know if its Fender made.

All original incl original case, it's a 425 not a 420 despite not having a trem, they changed the numbering convention not long after this was produced. This early version with the slab body and metal headplate is super rare, I have only ever seen one other of these and that was in the US. Some insane previous owner tried to recolour part of the wear on the metal headplate with a marker pen might come off with solvent?

This vintage Hofner President archtop guitar is being sold for a friend whose husband owned it before he passed.
Crafted in 1958, it still rings nicely, especially with the Hofner compensator holding the ball end of the strings. Please look carefully at the pictures as the D string strip is slightly bent - but has little impact on tone.

Very minor scratching and dings are highlighted on the pictures, otherwise a good, honest vintage guitar.

Here is a 1958, first year for this model, Hofner Senator. Serial number in the 6000 range. The guitar plays really well although the Hoyer pickup doesn't seem to work, but could easily be removed. The bridge has a small split at the bass end and there is a very small crack where the neck has moved slightly from the heel - but these in no way affects playability and would be an easy fix if wanted.
