Vintage 1930's Concertone 4 String Tenor Banjo I got from an old family friend. Nice condition, though I cannot attest to the intonation and entire playability. The strings are tunable, hold tune to some extent, and I was able to play a few licks though I am a guitar player by training and don't know proper banjo. Travel back in time with this Oscar Schmidt "Stella" tenor banjo. Built by Oscar Schmidt in New Jersey, this is a pre-Harmony Stella banjo. From its looks, I reasonably assume it was made the 1920s or 1930s
Though "Stella" is best known as a Harmony brand, it was originally an Oscar Schmidt brand. Harmony bought the Stella brand (as well as Sovereign) around 1938.

This listing is for an original 1930's Pre War Wooden Archtop Bridge. This came directly off of a 1930's Kay Kraft Venetian Recording King guitar. This could go on many Archtop models such as the Kay Kraft Venetian Recording King Style A or C guitars from that time. It is in great condition overall and really only shows mild signs of play wear. This is a beautiful guitar. As you can see, the body is Mahogany that??s in solid condition, no cracks or deformations. The neck alignment is in the same spot as the day it was made presumably. The controls function as expected but the tone cap appears to have gone bad or something is loose. I??m not sure but I can tell you the signal is free from buzzing and humming and that type of noise. This is a tailpiece from an Oscar Schmidt made Stella guitar. These were used frequently by Oscar Schmidt from the 1910s - 1930s.
