No cracking or splitting in the wood or anywhere on the neck.
there is a little pitting or surfaced rust here, and there on some of the steel . It??s a really nice banjo and you won??t find another one this cheap that can be cleaned up and brought back to life so inexpensively. I don??t know what tuning or anything along that route. Travel back in time with this interesting old guitar. It's been modded and refinished. But it's a National model 1140 or 1145 archtop acoustic. Looking at others on Jake Wildwood's website, I'm reasonably guessing it's from around 1950

The Westwood 77 was one of the "Map" guitars that were made famous by National in the early 60s, but unlike the "Reso-glass" (fiberglass) bodies of most models the Westwood used a solid Maple body and neck!

It's in very good condition for its age, with some wear and blemishes as you'd expect on a 44 year old vintage guitar. The finish is starting to age and change colour giving it a vintage vibe and there's some light wear to the frets which is cosmetic only, and not effecting playability.
