Another quality brand made by Matsumoku. Most of these were made by Ibanez (Hoshino) but this is clearly a Matsumoku. Exactly made like a 77 Aria AE-325. Has electronics control board for trouble free sound. This one has plenty of wear and tear but mostly around the body on the with edge finish cracks through the poly including neck pocket. This vintage 70s Aria SG is a relic to the old style rock that defined an era. In fairly good cosmetic condition and excellent playability it will rock the night away. Being 50+ years old it does have several nicks and scratches over it??s long career as shown. The slim neck profile is very nice with only a little fret wear. I sold it to a customer and ended up getting it back. Unfortunately, it arrived with a decent size dent on the lower rear of the body. I will sell it as it is
The body was stripped and stained with Minwax Sienna Oak stain then finished with gloss lacquer. There was no body filler used, so the pores in the wood are open. I prefer the resonance of open poured guitars

One of the many ??lawsuit?? guitars to come out of the Matsumoku factory in the 70??s, this particular SG copy is marked IBZ and is essentially an Ibanez 2354S, which was made in 1973. The guitar appears all original apart from the switch tip and the strap knobs. It has tons of mojo and plays great. This is an Epiphone Emperor (T) Thinline guitar made in Japan at the Matsumoku factory. I believe it to be from the 80??s or early 90??s but I bought this guitar used so I don??t know its history. It is in great condition for its age with no major damage and little fretwear. It does have signs of use and play wear, with tarnish / oxidation on the gold pickups and hardware. Very nice Japanese made vintage electric guitar, Matsumoku factory, 1984 sorta time. Been competently stained and refinished at some point a fairly long time ago, and worn in subsequently. Stock MMK pickups with coil splits on the toggles. Fingerboard freshly oiled, frets freshly polished, takes a low action great. Very attractive offset model, and great quality and sound.
It has a one-piece maple neck, just like Fender. The engraved tuners have the Gotoh logo underneath as well as a ??made in Japan??. The bridge is a hardtail type I haven??t seen on any other guitar. Everything is original except the knobs.

One very red 1980s classic guitar, made in the legendary Matsumoku factory. This is HSS with a locking trem unit. It has plenty of age related marks but nothing major. Some visible fret wear but it plays nicely, low action, everything works fine. A couple of saddle bolts are not original, other than those it is very original, even the tiny locking nut clamps.

Aria Pro II Cardinal series CS-350 in See Thru Red. Made in 1981 at the Matsumoku factory Japan. Really cool guitars ( Kurt Cobain played, smashed and burned a CS-250) and are one of the best guitars to come out of Japan in this price range. Has a light ash body, 3 piece maple neck and rosewood fretboard (scale 630mm). Nut width is 43mm and the fretboard flattish with a nice U shaped neck. There is a carve around the body. Vintage stratocaster built in Japan 1976 by the Matsumoku factory alongside all the big brands of the time like Greco, Aria Pro II, Burny etc. In good playing order with everything working and in pretty good condition for it's age. Neck and fretboard are in very good condition - straight, minimal ware and polished frets. Pickups sound great and the guitar is testement to the quality craftmanship of the Japanese makers during the 70's. Not sure of the tonewood used but I think it is called ... more
