Mid-60s Lyle three-pup Strat-ish model in superb clean condition throughout. This is the three pickup version of the two-pup Epiphone model with the Kurt Cobain cachet. Actually, a cooler guitar. A very interesting and effective take on the Strat. These pups are crisp, open, and responsive. This is a late Sixties Japanese made Rosewood Lyle with X-bracing. The guitar has been set-up, and is ready to play. This guitar comes bundled with a nice, though used, serviceable, fully functioning, case without the key. (Sorry! I never had the key )

This Lyle C-625 is from the 1960`s - 1970`s, serial number is 29165, made in Japan. It comes with the original case that has hand embroidery on the top (cactus, guitar, music notes). This guitar has a full tech set-up including a new bone nut and saddle (unbleached). This is one beautiful guitar with the red cedar top, mahogany back and sides, and a rosewoood fretboard. Plays and sounds great!

I am selling a 1970's(?) full size acoustic guitar (with black chipboard case) for a luthier project. Made in Japan. I am not sure which factory this was made in. String action is appr. 3 / 16" at the 12th fret (look at last two photos for this). The neck is a very skinny width but with a greater depth (U shape). Reminds me of 1960's Kay acoustics I have had in the past with a baseball bat type neck.

I will say this right here and right now, Lyle guitars are the best guitars that came out of the famed Japanese Matsumoku factory. That factory was allegedly huge and and they were making hundreds of guitars daily under a bunch of different brand names. The factory was so big they had bike paths inside it so people could get from one end to another. I've played a lot of Matsumoku guitars and Lyles are the ones that have survived the best into this day and age. I think they had the best ... more
