Up for sale is a rare in the US 1959 Levin model 123 acoustic steel string guitar. 12 fret 000 body. Solid spruce over solid birch. Ladder bracing. Rosewood fretboard and bridge. This guitar reminds me of an LG-1, but it's 12 fret and slightly smaller body size. But the tone is like an LG-1 to my ears. Nut width is wide at around 1 85" and the neck is chunky. ??Vintage Herman Carlson Levin Swedish Made Guitar from 1959-64 period. In good used condition no splits. Needs one string and a piece of decorative piping along the neck needs sticking back. From the serial, this is a 1934 Levin (a Swedish company, whose guitars were sold under the Goya name over here in the 1960s) model 252 The various features and sound of this guitar reminds me quite a bit of the old 20s and 30s Gibson blues boxes, also small bodies with floating bridges. Here we have a rare guitar from Levin
The label states this is a model 55. however model 55s were only made between 1937 and 1944. They were also sunburst and didnt have a slotted headstock. This variation doesnt appear in any Levin catalogue. The serial number dates it as 1965. So this is a rare guitar that is either a small run of guitars or perhaps an employer made one

Here is an OLP Ernie Ball licensed Stingray, Tony Levin Signature 5 string bass in excellent condition. The serial number is difficult to read but I think it is 422403 which would make it a 1962 LS18 but the model number has disappeared from the inside
One of the tuning pegs is different from the others and there are a few dings

Its not often that you see two iconic guitar makers names on the same instrument. This guitar was made in 1977 at the time Levin was going out of business due to the pressure of cheaper Asian imports. Martin bought Levin and continued to make their guitars for some time under the combined label that is visible through the sound hole. To add to the oddity of it all the guitar was made in Finland rather than the usual Gothenburg in Sweden

STUNNING GUITAR. Goya was the brand name used by Levin (Sweden) for the USA market. This 1958 guitar, according to the Swedish Vintage Guitar register, is the third oldest existing example of their S-18 dreadnought. I can supply a direct link to this data if you are interested.
