I've used other makes before but it was failing to initiate, so I suspected that it may have been faulty. I contacted the seller for a replacement but he gave a 50% refund. So rather than throw it away, I contacted the manufacturer (in USA not China) who were really helpful and suggested try leaving pin 10 (reset) disconnected. I did this and it worked.
