Here is a 1958, first year for this model, Hofner Senator. Serial number in the 6000 range. The guitar plays really well although the Hoyer pickup doesn't seem to work, but could easily be removed. The bridge has a small split at the bass end and there is a very small crack where the neck has moved slightly from the heel - but these in no way affects playability and would be an easy fix if wanted. HOYER Bassgitarre ??Bonfire?? mit Korina Body Der Luxusbass aus den 80ern. Ca 1985. Linkshänder-Variante. Die Vester-Abdeckplatte am Hals ist nachträglich montiert. Schaller Beschläge. I'm selling this guitar for a friend, the original authentication documentation was stamped 1953 but unfortunately this has been lost. This guitar is likely to be a high end 'special' custom made to order model. Very good action. Good original condition exept one changed tuner knob. "Ideal" Pickup . very long original tremolo arm . neck joint OK . frets OK . jack plug placed in F hole ( no extra holes) . The pots are not tested and not sold beetween PU and jack socket . but they work . when plugged to amp Sound is very good this way !!!!! More pics if required

This really is a rare guitar - Arnold Hoyer Vollton in good condition
Manufactured around 1955.
The guitar looks stunning in person and the pictures do not do it justice. The lacquer is cracking slightly on the bodywork but to be expected on a guitar of this age. It is a used guitar and I have really enjoyed it It is delicate and needs to be played with care but the sound is powerful, balanced and warm
