Up for auction: Original 60's Hofner 500 / 1 violin bass case
The case is in sturdy condition, but has some issues:
- lots of surface scratches (see pics)
- the lining is loose and needs regluing
- some blistering on top
- some binding is missing
- handle mount missing, and re-attached with wire (see pics)

The serial number dates this to 1964, the pot code is 1964, and the characteristics too, which is the same as McCartney's. It's THE bass to have for sure.
