Here is a absolutely beautiful Hofner Senator bass in natural blonde! Hard to find these in blonde. This bass is in brilliant condition with just some light checking. Also, the plastic strap button broke but is easily replaced. The wood is also top-shelf. Beautiful figured maple back and sides. Comes with an old case

Hofner Senator Brunette, made in Germany in 1963.
Repaired as the headstock broke off. I used glue, screws, and wood for support. In my experience, it won??t break again.
The repair was painted over, it looks and feels pretty good.
Apart from that, all the accessories were replaced, so it lost most of its collectible value, but it is still a very good looking German 60??s archtop guitar that sounds and plays amazing.

This is in tremendous condition for a guitar from 1954. Plays and sounds great, and had a full refret last year by McIntyre Guitars in Edinburgh. Structurally sound, loads of minor dinks - there is a small hole drilled at the back of the headstock (pictured) - I can't figure out what it was for. Also evidence that there was a floating neck pickup fitted to the end of the neck at some point
All in all, this is a great guitar - looks, sounds and plays just like it should

A seriously gorgeous piece of musical history, just awesome At some point there's bound to be a need for repair on an old (vintage) guitar I had a professional reset the neck and set up the action, so it now plays beautifully

It's a well-loved guitar but needs some attention, hence the low price, compared to others on here It's been modified for a lefty but wouldn't take much (new nut) to change it back The neck has been reset and re fretted (by a professional luthier) and it plays ok (great sound!) but could do with setting up and new strings There's plenty of signs of wear, scratches, dings and cracked varnish... more
