Vintage guitars for sale: Hofner Club

This guitar was purchased as a restoration that was started, but never finished
- the neck was apparently re-set. It??s at a good angle and is nice and straight when strung up and tuned to pitch (these guitars have no truss rod)
- the binding in the neck-joint area was missing and I replaced it. The back, under the neck heel, was slightly surface damaged when I got it. It looks OK and is solid
- the pick guard and control plate are not original

For your consideration is this 1960 Hofner Club 60 in sunburst finish. Overall the guitar is in very good shape with only light to moderate play wear. The Toaster pickups sound really warm and vintage but have enough bite for many genres including rock. Playability is excellent with low action & light fret wear. Original bridge and pickguard in case

Sehr seltene, frühe Club 60 aus 1959. Noch mit kleiner Kopfplatte, bar pickups und ohne Trussrod. Ein Neck-Reset wurde bereits durchgeführt. Die Gitarre spielt sich gut und intoniert sauber. Die Elektronik auch in Ordnung, das ist nicht immer der Fall bei diesen Gitarren. Bünde haben stärkere Spuren und könnten zur Perfektionierung der Bespielbarkeit abgerichtet werden. An absolutely awesome piece of history! John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison all played these guitars at the start of their careers, and they??re great guitars today too!

This particular guitar needs some work done on the electronics, as they currently do not work, hence the low price !

This beautiful and rare guitar has had one owner from new and was bought in January of '59
Its the same model that was strummed by a young John Lennon
there are no breaks or cracks in the woodwork however as seen from the pictures the lacquer has cracked around the heel. there has never been a neck reset
unfortunately over the years two of the plastic tuning buttons perished and although the tuners are original the D and G tuning buttons are replacements
