Here is an interesting and extremely clean 1950's Hofner 456. Plays easy and sounds very good. The flame on the maple back is strong. Hard to find this model in natural and this clean. Comes with a nice gig bag.

Here's a nice vintage 1966 Hofner 12 in above player condition. Sounds and plays nice. Truss rod has been replaced and operates smoothly. Three ferrules are missing where the tuning post comes up through the headstock. I'm Spring cleaning so I'll include them if I find them. Photos show the dings and scrapes with the law after 53 years on the planet. Original condition except for replaced truss rod, missing ferrules and an added strap button that has since broken off

Here we have a Vintage 1950??s Horner 457

This archtop acoustic guitar is one of the many variations of the Hofner Model 457 from Germany with a classic sunburst finish. This archtop has a maple top, sides, and back complete with a Venetian cutaway, rosewood fingerboard, zero fret, and white block inlays to match the headstock to give it a "zebra" look. 1950s Hofner Archtop Guitar Project.
Bought as is, was meant to be a project but have neither the space or time to complete
Not too sure but think it is either a Congress or Senator.
As you can see from the photos the neck has come away from the body and possible work done to the heel. Really nice flame to the body.
The neck has been refretted and possible face has been refinished.

This vintage Hofner President archtop guitar is being sold for a friend whose husband owned it before he passed.
Crafted in 1958, it still rings nicely, especially with the Hofner compensator holding the ball end of the strings. Please look carefully at the pictures as the D string strip is slightly bent - but has little impact on tone.

Very minor scratching and dings are highlighted on the pictures, otherwise a good, honest vintage guitar.

Original Hofner Congress acoustic guitar from 1956-1957 in excellent condition, also comes with original 1950??s custom hard shell case.

Early Hofner Serial number: 3280.

No fret wear, barely been played.

This guitar is in remarkably good condition for being over 66 years old!

Realy nice Hofner 1959 guitar made in Germany. Sounds and plays great. The guitar is all original except the wood bridge. I Have the original bridge which will be in the case. I just prefer the one that's on there. Its a rare guitar . The body and neck are in great condition. The pickup sounds great . The pot that is in there is a little scratchey. It's a well-loved guitar but needs some attention, hence the low price, compared to others on here It's been modified for a lefty but wouldn't take much (new nut) to change it back The neck has been reset and re fretted (by a professional luthier) and it plays ok (great sound!) but could do with setting up and new strings There's plenty of signs of wear, scratches, dings and cracked varnish... more

In exceptionally clean condition this mid to late 1950's Hofner requiring a neck repair a previous one at the top tendon of the heel had failed
Images are attached as to how this simple repair was carried out
The inside there's a pencil written '53' in spite of the guitar more likely having beenbshipped and sold a few years later
Spec is a spruce top with laminated Maple back and sides and repair aside, is all original down to the last screw

For 60 years of age it is in remarkable condition. There are some scratches, in fact quite a few all around the body. Cosmetic and with the nicely darkened laquer they give the instrnent this wonderfull patina. This Hofner Congress guitar is a rare find for any musician. With its beautiful Brunette Burst finish and working original pickups, it's sure to impress.
1957 I think. Serial Number is 5516. The 3rd digit is smudged but looks like a 1 to me. In lovely condition and plays nicely.

What a lovely guitar. This is a late 50s, Hofner Committee Deluxe, serial number 101, which makes it the second one released. 100 was probably the first, but that hasn't come to light yet
Very clean with minimal wear. Non-original bridge, scratchplate and hard shell case
Thick, chunky neck, as these early ones had no truss rod. Plays well with a reasonably low action. It's not super low as there is some buzz higher up the neck if set too low. Tricky to solve completely without a trussrod... more
