Gorgeous vintage 1965 wide-body semi-hollow Höfner was made in West Germany and is a special instrument. It has been remarkably preserved over the years and shows little to no signs of its age.

This Hofner 457 is an amazing guitar in ridiculously good condition for its almost 60(!) years of age. Conservatively listed as "Very Good " , for its age it's Excellent. I found this instrument recently and have done some work to clean it up. It plays really well. I have been over the entire instrument and here are my comments
1. I dressed the fretwires and most of the fine lines on the wires are gone exception is the fretwire adjacent to the nut
2. The fretboard - including the fretmarkers, are in near perfect condition. Neck has a seam down the middle that your thumb can feel

Here's a nice vintage 1966 Hofner 12 in above player condition. Sounds and plays nice. Truss rod has been replaced and operates smoothly. Three ferrules are missing where the tuning post comes up through the headstock. I'm Spring cleaning so I'll include them if I find them. This is a nice Hofner copy of the Beatle Bass Paul used. We believe it to be a Univox or Teisco 1960's. Electronics all work however the tone just has a little static noise when you turn it volume works great and so does the tone other than that drop of static while turning (probably a very good electronics cleaning is in order). I have for you a very rare 1970s Hofner 164 with the beloved vibrato unit

I had the frets very recently dressed and set up properly from my guitar tech

It plays great and sounds very fat and dark

These single coils take fuzz and overdrive really well

The guitar is a featherweigh, too. the vibrato does prevent any neck dive as well

There are a few small dings and nicks. My tech said it looked as if it was barely ever played

Silvertone Teisco Hofner-style Beatle bass guitar pickguard from the late 1960s. The sale includes the 3-ply (white / black / white) pickguard and the thumb rest with the bolts holding it to the pickguard. There's some gunk on the pickguard. It appears that all the components are original including the fully functional tuning pegs and the two pick ups. The guitar was professionally set up some years ago and plays really well. It comes with the original case which has some damage and stains as shown in the photos, but handle and catches all in tact and working. Hofner 173 electric guitar made in West Germany in the early to mid sixties. It is a rare model badged ''Gagliano'' - only a few show this name although they were made by Hofner. This rare Hofner guitar was made in Germany in the 1960s. There is no marking on the guitar, but I assume it is a model No. 161. Guitar is very light in weight ( 2 22kg or 4 15lb ) and body is hollow inside

OHV is offering our only accoustic fat body committee
For 60 years of age it is in remarkable condition. There are some scratches, in fact quite a few all around the body. Cosmetic and with the nicely darkened laquer they give the instrnent this wonderfull patina. Around the side srew of the pick guard is a little touched up area and on the backside bottom edge where the ornamentel inlay ends is a tiny patch of dopped out laquer. Hofner Senator Brunette, made in Germany in 1963.
Repaired as the headstock broke off. I used glue, screws, and wood for support. In my experience, it won??t break again.
The repair was painted over, it looks and feels pretty good.
Apart from that, all the accessories were replaced, so it lost most of its collectible value, but it is still a very good looking German 60??s archtop guitar that sounds and plays amazing.

The body is in really good condition the wood colour is really warm and consistent. Pic 2 doesn??t reflect this as light was bad!)

One tuner different to the others but all seem to hold tuning really well

I don??t think the pickup is as old as the guitar but it, sounds like (and right for) the instrument rather than detracting from its character

It does have a bow in the neck and with no truss rod in the neck you will either need to luce with it it try a d steam it straight
I have tried it through an amp and there is no output from the pickups.
As you can see from the photos it dies have wear in the finish

This gorgeous archtop has a maple fretboard and original maple bridge. It's very rare to find such an early example in amazing condition and 100% original. The maple also makes it super light and gives it a fantastic tone. I've had a look and resources online date this to 1956 from the series number inside the f-hole (3229).

This vintage Hofner President archtop guitar is being sold for a friend whose husband owned it before he passed.
Crafted in 1958, it still rings nicely, especially with the Hofner compensator holding the ball end of the strings. Please look carefully at the pictures as the D string strip is slightly bent - but has little impact on tone.

Very minor scratching and dings are highlighted on the pictures, otherwise a good, honest vintage guitar.

Amazing rare vintage Hofner 495 from 1959
I've had this guitar for ~ 8yrs, I played it regularly in the first year, and hardly at all since, it hasn't been played for at least 3 yrs. It's been sat in a hardcase without strings since (CASE NOT INCLUDED)

1959 Hofner committee Electric Guitar . Is in fairly good condition for
for it age but is showing some signs of wear mainly on front of the body where the finish has worn off by palm, fingers and picks.
