Gretsch produced various musical instruments in New York, USA, from the early twentieth century, with guitars added to the line in the 1930s. It was most famous for it's hollow-body electric acoustics, being favoured by the rock and roll artists of the 1950s and the beat groups of the 1960s. In 1970, production was moved to Booneville, Arkansas.

Users include Chet Atkins, George Harrison, Bo Diddley, Steve Marriot and Peter Tork.

Here is a 1967 Gretsch Country Gentleman that is all original. One switch tip is missing and the mute pad for the mute is gone. Some binding issues as can be seen in the photos. The binding on the neck is all attached and plays nicely. The body is pretty good overall. The guitar plays really nicely also with low action and a straight neck.
