Gretsch produced various musical instruments in New York, USA, from the early twentieth century, with guitars added to the line in the 1930s. It was most famous for it's hollow-body electric acoustics, being favoured by the rock and roll artists of the 1950s and the beat groups of the 1960s. In 1970, production was moved to Booneville, Arkansas.

Users include Chet Atkins, George Harrison, Bo Diddley, Steve Marriot and Peter Tork.

This is a very nice 1976 USA-made Gretsch Country Gentleman, serial # 3-6102, in exceptionally fine condition. The original walnut brown finish has very little wear perhaps a couple of scuff marks and fingerprints from my photographing it. Some might call it near-mint condition.
