Gretsch produced various musical instruments in New York, USA, from the early twentieth century, with guitars added to the line in the 1930s. It was most famous for it's hollow-body electric acoustics, being favoured by the rock and roll artists of the 1950s and the beat groups of the 1960s. In 1970, production was moved to Booneville, Arkansas.

Users include Chet Atkins, George Harrison, Bo Diddley, Steve Marriot and Peter Tork.

This is an original 1964 Gretsch Chet Atkins Country Gentleman in excellent fully original condition. It is like what George Harrison played with the early Beatles. It has the Supertron front pickup and the Filtertron back pickup, and double string mutes. There's hardly any binding deterioration. Notice the close-ups of the binding.
