1981 Gibson Victory Artist Bass Guitar NECK Maple construction, Rosewood fingerboard, dot markers, Firebird style peghead, wedge angle heel, 34" scale length. Normal vintage wear, frets are good, normal playwear, small chips-dings-scratches, No Structural issues, truss rod works. Nut width is 1 68 " , heel measures 2 40" width, 1 33" depth, 5 5" length. This is a Vintage 1981 USA made Gibson Victory Standard Bass Body. No other parts are included. It weighs 6 lbs 15 oz. There's LOTS of wear, nicks, dings, paint chips, and buckle wear. This a killer bass and a total P bass killer. Gibson released these to compete with the p bass and they are far, far, better quality. Mahogany body, Mable neck, brass nut, active and passive humbuckers with MOOG electronics! All original with the original case. The original case is pretty beat up with a buckle replaced but still road Worthy. Original paperwork still with it. The guitar is set up to play easy with a low action and great sound. Here we have an 80s inspired Gibson Victory from 2024! This is the figured top version done in a wine red burst finish
Specs include a mahogany body, AA figured maple top, mahogany neck and ebony board. It's a double-cutaway body with set neck construction and front-loaded controls. Good condition. This bass was reportedly owned by the bassist from Mountain, but we have no documentation to confirm this. The Scott Moon dragon / dinosaur painting is fun. It apparently was painted in 1988 according to the signature. Comes with a non-original neck plate.

Met with client to buy comic and art collection and ended up buying this bass. Owner showed me photos and some of his bands photos were in the collection. Band played around NJ in the 1980s / 1990s
Tested the bass and everything seemed to function properly. May need to be serviced. I am not a musician. I plugged it in to a amp and it played, volume adjusted ect.

These came off of a 1981 Victory Standard Bass. These did not come with screws. They're pretty clean for their age with some nicks and minor pitting. Original bushings and washers included. A previous owner marked them "G, D, A, E" on the underside. It shouldn't matter, but I left the markings anyway

Gibson Victory Candy Apple Red Classic Bass Guitar USA 1981
When I bought this some years ago, it was advertised as being manufactured in 1981 and with a special paintjob. The special paint job is a refinish, and I'm pretty sure they painted the back of the neck as I've never seen another like it. Looks quite nice but has some chips and knocks but overall, it's a very cool 43 year old bass. This is a fantastic guitar - 1981 Gibson Victory MV-X (Multi Voice). Original Twilight Blue finish, that has greened slightly over time. One of the last Gibson Victory guitars to ship from Kalamazoo. Designed to out-strat a Stratocaster!
And a great playing guitar too with a very comfortable action, and plenty of room to adjust. Has some playwear and the usual scratches and dings, but nothing too serious
