This listing is for a vintage 1961 Gibson Back Plate-Control Cavity Cover for an EB-0 or LP / SG Junior. This plate came off a 1961 Gibson EB-0 Bass guitar. The plate is also the correct size for an early 1960 through 1962 Gibson SG (Les Paul) Junior. The cover is in good shape and comes with the original mounting screws. This is a really cool last of the early-70's type SG-100 in a rare 1 pickup form like a Junior in a well patinated all original see-thru Cherry Red finish. Its dot inlaid rosewood fingerboard feels great & its neck profile is very full size & comfortable. Its got 2-tone 2 piece mahogany body w / a 3-piece mahogany neck w / a large volute. This Used 1970 Gibson SG Junior Large Guard in Vintage Cherry is here on consignment. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod functions properly. Here is a beautiful looking, playing, and sounding vintage restored 1963 Gibson Junior! Refinished in an aged Polaris White. All parts are new and aged. I decided to go with the long vibrola instead of the short which these typically have if they don??t have the lightning stop bar bridge. 1963 Gibson SG Junior pickguard in good used condition. Some slight warping along the edges but that certainly adds to the character of these old plastics. The guard is a 7 hole version which would suggest if all the early 60??s SG Juniors that this was from the year 1963. It is also worth mentioning that one of the lower screw holes near the controls has been widened slightly for some reason but is still very much usable! Die korrekte Datierung von echten Vintage-Teilen (egal welcher Marke) ist immer ein Problem und macht sich natürlich auch im Preis bemerkbar. Es muss alles stimmen. Die Serien-Nummern stiften häufig noch ein zusätzliches Durcheinander. So bot jemand seine Gibson als 67er an mit Nr 00 . ! (Gibson fing aber erst 1970 wieder mit 000 001 an)
Es sind aber Kleinigkeiten die bei der Datierung helfen. Nehmen wir meine Junior auf den ersten Blick: 1. Der P90er hat 6 Schräubchen (1 pro Saite). ... more
