Original 1957 Gibson Les Paul Junior converted to a Les Paul Special model by Gord Miller restoration in Victoria B C. Canada circa 2015 / 2016
Chunky neck profile, C shape with lots of shoulder. Not the skinnier 1950??s oval profile.
Lightweight - just over 7lbs
Neck pickup - 6 78k ohm
Bridge pickup - 7 76k ohm
All Original 1957 Gibson LP special parts aside from the following - the back plates (no roll marks etc), 5 back screws, possibly the Catalin switch tip and neck pickup ... more

The pots are dated to the 7th week of 1959
It has had a heel break many years ago but correctly repaired. The neck was resprayed hence loss of the serial number.
It is a lovely player and the P90??s sing beautifully
Comes with an early ESS & Co hard case from New York.

A recently refurbished 1959 Les Paul Special that has lived quite a life. It was recently re-built with a mixture of original and high quality non-original parts. It could be enjoyed either as it is or as a foundation to a project to restore more of its originality. The one piece mahogany body was crafted in the Gibson Kalamazoo factory in 1959.
