My husband purchased this when he was a military dependent living in Wiesbaden, Germany. He was a college student playing in a German Rock Band. I think he purchased this not long after arriving in Germany, the summer of 1965.

Framus Starbass 5 / 156-62 von 1964, Nummer 15981-63C, vor gut 15 Jahren bei Ebay gekauft. Damals hatte er noch einen DIN Stecker, was nervte, so wurde ein Klinkenstecker eingebaut (siehe Foto). Es funktionieren nicht alle Pick Up Wahlmöglichkeiten und der Bass ist insgesamt auch leiser als andere Bässe. Gemäss Seriennummer stammt die Gitarre wohl aus dem Jahre 1959 (D59). Sie ist in Anbetracht ihres Alters in einem sehr guten Zustand. Natürlich sind diverse Dings und Dongs vorhanden (siehe Fotos) und auch der Lack weist feine Risse auf. Dies verleiht der Gitarre aber Charme und beeinträchtigt den tollen Look nicht. This is a lovely archtop with a 17-inch body, yet it issurprisingly light-weight and plays really well and sounds great. All thehardware and pickguard are original. The rosewood fingerboard is smooth and lovelyto play and the frets are good. It is a StandardModel 21 Deluxe guitar, made in West Germany by Framus for UK importers anddistributors Boosey & Hawkes form the mid-1950s

Ich biete hier eine sehr gut erhaltene Framus 5 / 155 "Strato 6" an. Die Gitarre müsste laut Stempel auf der Kopfplatte von 1970 sein (sehr schlecht zu lesen). Soweit ich das beurteilen kann, ist alles original, bis auf den Tremolohebel. Sie hat natürlich einige Abnutzungsspuren, das ist halt so, bei einer über 50-jährigen. Super Sound

I'm selling my Framus Cobra Amplifier in excellent condition with black panel, super rare to find one
The panel is original but as you know the Cobra has very poor silver coating on it so with humidity it tends to go away creating very ugly look. This is a mod that is common on this amp. I've only applied the Groove Juice Cymbal cleanerspraying on the panel and it magically changed the color and became black leaving the writing untouched. Now it's cool!
