Interesting c. 1970 Framus Country and Western model dreadnought. Made in West Germany. Unusual in that it has a dovetail joint rather than the odd bolt-on neck more often seen here. Looks to have all original parts, but I don??t have any thumbwheels on the adjustable bridge. It??s all the way down, so it rests directly on the top (better for tone anyway). For sale is a Framus Parlor Acoustic - Orange Burst for parts or repair
The acoustic at one point was routed for someone to drop a loaded pickguard in it so it could be an electric acoustic
The bridge has been repaired at some point, but as you can see in the pictures, the peg holes will need some routing because some of the pegs can't fit in their place now
This guitar is definitely a good project guitar, but it's just gonna need some good tlc to get up and running again

Absolutely gorgeous c. 1970 Framus Texan dreadnought. The classic ??so cheesy it??s cool?? German acoustic, in quite rare blonde finish. All laminates, but very nice book-matched flamey back. This is a mid 1960s era Framus arch back classical guitar Model 5 / 13 The guitar is in overall pristine condition. The original tuners were broken so I replaced them with a similar style new set. I will include the original tuners in the package, see photo. (Two of the knob posts had come apart from the mounting plate. My local luthier said they are repairable, but not worth the effort. )

This is another one i picked up one the summer , bit unusual , think its known as a flatback looking at others , not one i ever heard of to be honest before , although i gather Elvis played one at one time , have had a look round on Google , this seems quite a small body one , It has a couple of the white plastic support missing on the bridge piece , and one knob from the string tensioners .

Müsste aus den 1960ern sein.
Die originalen Mechaniken waren nicht mehr gut. Daher hat sie Grover-Mechaniken bekommen.
Es war eine rein akustische Archtop.
Sie hat einen Floating-Tonabnehmer von Kent Armstrong spendiert bekommen ( " Jazzy Joe " ).

Original Framus Bass aus den 70ern, Farbe ist nicht original. Decals und Daumenstütze können rückstandslos entfernt werden. Roasted Neck in sehr gutem Zustand, polierte Bünde ohne jegliche Kerben. Steg PU ebenfalls vintage aber nicht original, passt aber sehr gut dazu. Rückseite zeigt die original Farbe. Da ich vor einer Weile auf ein anderes Instrument umgestiegen bin, ist diese Gitarre kaum genutzt und deshalb wunderbar in Schuss. Framus model 5 / 114-52. Completely original and fully working.
It was serviced: all switches and pots were cleaned to avoid any noise. Tuning pegs lubricated. All the hardware was carefully cleaned from rust and dust. Including all the screws.
Frets levelled, dresses and polished.
Fretboard cleaned and oiled up.
All the paint is original and was carefully polished. Truss rod adjusted. New strings on.

This is a real rare bird: Framus 5 / 72 Queen (most likely) made in the 1950ties in very good condition   Solid spruce top with solid maple back and laminated maple sides   Straight chunky maple neck with Rosewood fretboard and no truss rod. Replacement bridge with Framus Cutaway model tailpiece.

Beautiful old Framus Archtop Guitar in amazing condition. The finish on this ol girl is immaculate for its age, probably being from the 50s.
Unfortunately no labels or numbers inside the f holes but as you can see it says 'New England' on the body. I haven't really been able to find any info on this, but a fellow in one of the facebook archtop groups reckons it's a Framus UK Export model. That still doesn't mean anything to me, but it may mean something to people in the know
