This is the coolest thing! I had this installed in my 71 P-Bass back in 1978 as a kid in my first band. It's definitely old-school, analog hard-wired design and the entire preamp is encased in a solid 1 x 1 1 / 8 x 1 1 / 2 epoxy 'brick' marked Startone on the side. This is a great case that once housed a 1976 Fender Jazz Bass. This case fits a Jazz Bass like a glove and will also accommodate Precision basses and protect them safely. These came from a December 1982 Fender Precision Bass '57 reissue. A non original pickup was spliced in so the solder joints are undisturbed. Looks like the ground wire is not original. Both pots date from the 41st week of 1982. Comes with the original brass ground plate but one of the rubber strips has become loose from the plate. Great for restoration of your Fullerton Reissue. The bass is in excellent condition with one unfortunate ding on the lower edge between the strap pin and the input jack. Some of the paint has chipped off there, but there is no other damage or dings or dents anywhere else on the guitar and the top is very clean

This bass has an incredible history. The bass started life as a 1971 Fender Precision bass. A few years later, the Schecter Guitar Research company in Van Nuys, California did an upgrade and added Bartoline pickups, changed to a Bad Ass II bridge, changed to a Schecter chrome plated brass pick guard, and redid the electronics using Bourns high performance potentiometers which was Schecter's trademark. This bass was owned by Hex Henderson who played with David Allen Coe and Roy Buchanan plus many others. I was told it's a 1974 and from the names on the neck and neck pocket that adds up. This is my baby. It??s a 1972 fender precision bass. Everything on this bass is original. I bought this at a guitar show in the late 90s. I??ve gigged with it and recorded with it for more than 25 years. It is extremely hard for me to part with it but I have a hand injury and unfortunately can??t play the bass anymore. I've known the history of this bass since about 1976. It belonged to a friend of mine and the first time I saw it, it had a pretty worn out sunburst finish. The serial number is ??40496?? which dates it to late 1959. The neck is date is not readable and the body is dated to December 1959. The pots date to November 1959 (137-945 and 947). So all dateable parts are from 1959 but it probably was not sold until early 1960. It has the original Sunburst finish

Fender Precision Bass Special (genuine USA 1982) + Hard tolex case. I have owned this bass since 1984 (40 years) and have only gigged it about 10 times in 40 years! It is in stunning condition and I would rate it 9 7 / 10 for condition. You won't find a better example of this RARE and much sought after bass. I treat my guitars / basses with the respect they deserve.

Wonderful warm sounding old Precision 1977. It has a Badass II bridge and plays like a dream
It was most recently serviced by Stuart Monks. It was an an old friend in the studio for many years acquired around 1980. A professional bassist had the brass nut and original Badass II fitted at the end of the 70's. Excellent work as you can see. (Ignore the strip of black tape at nut left from the fret polishing - can be removed)

In working order and good overall condition for a used instrument of this era. Made in USA in 1974, CBS era F Series model
Sounds and plays like an absolute beast. The sound is 100% what you would expect from a vintage Fender Precision, especially if the buyer fits it with flatwound strings. Comes with a good quality CrossRock hard carry case. Has just been fitted with light 40-95 roundwound strings
