Here is a beautiful example of a great solid Vintage P-bass! Tunes excellent, action is very low, plenty of life on the frets! This thing plays and feels beautifully! I am the second owner of this bass and have had it for 25 years. This bass is all original other than the bridge pick-up which was rewound to spec by Lindy Fralin in 1999. I bought a new American Fender Jazz bass in 1978 or 1979. I removed the pick guard and the bridge cover (ashtray) as soon as I got it home. The manual with serial number was removed along with the genuine Fender guitar strap. I carefully packed them away along with another genuine Fender guitar strap that I had saved from a Fender Telecaster bass that I bought new around 1970 if memory serves might have been another one in that time frame. This is the coolest thing! I had this installed in my 71 P-Bass back in 1978 as a kid in my first band. Considering its age, this 1975 American Fender Jazz Bass is in pretty amazing condition.
It isn't perfect as it has some slight damage to the finish on the right side of its body which is shown in the pictures but asides from that and some light scratches, the finish is almost perfect.

Hi allReluctant sale of this beautiful bass. It??s a 1970 serial number Fender jazz with a neck stamped 1969 which I bought from the bass gallery in 2019. I believe pickups and pick guard are original. Thumb rest is non original and the pots were replaced early on and date to 1974. I don??t know much about this bass, and can??t find any info on BJ guitars. What I do know if that it used to belong to the bass player from Manfred Mann??s Earth Band, as I bought it from his nephew. It was he who told me it was a genuine fender vintage pickup. I am not an expert but it sounds great. It has a custom made Perspex mount to fit the sound hole. 1973 Fender Mustang Bass in excellent condition, originally bought from Andy Baxter Bass in the UK (provenance, Andy's original photos and original purchase information can be provided on request).
