I am the second owner of this bass and have had it for 25 years. This bass is all original other than the bridge pick-up which was rewound to spec by Lindy Fralin in 1999. The finish is worn from the original case. Other than that, the finish has some light checking, which is normal for a 50 year old bass. Fret wear is light, and plays like a dream. As seen in the video, for sale is a 1959 Fender Precision Bass with a non-original case. This bass guitar has some wear but remains in perfect working order, playing and sounding amazing. There are scratches, dings, and wear throughout, as well as extra holes on the pick-guard and on the top. Super cool American Vintage II 1966 Jazz Bass. Recently purchased new in May 2024 and it has seen minimal home use. The build is a big step above standard American Fenders and is much closer in quality to Fender Custom Shop. Makes sense given the original price tag of $2500. I bought a new American Fender Jazz bass in 1978 or 1979. I removed the pick guard and the bridge cover (ashtray) as soon as I got it home. The manual with serial number was removed along with the genuine Fender guitar strap. Considering its age, this 1975 American Fender Jazz Bass is in pretty amazing condition.
It isn't perfect as it has some slight damage to the finish on the right side of its body which is shown in the pictures but asides from that and some light scratches, the finish is almost perfect.
It also has some slight wear to the frets, mainly on the D string but nothing that compromises its playability or sound
