The original bridge pickup was swapped by the previous owner sometime ago, and was replaced with a now vintage Dimarzio J Bass Split Coil pickup. Up for sale is an Epiphone Embassy bass husk. The headstock was partially cracked and repaired. It??s a good solid repair but the crack line is still visible. It will not separate under normal conditions. Has some finish marks. The neck is straight and truss rod functions as it should. The frets are in great shape. These Gibson / Epiphone mutes came factory built on the two point bridges of the 60??s Thunderbirds and the Epiphone Embassy. These are extremely hard to find and will complete your Thunderbird restoration. This particular one came off a 1967 Embassy made in the Kalamazoo factory (using all Gibson parts). The mute shows typical wear and patina for an item from this era.
