This is a 1969 Gibson Super 400C Acoustic Guitar. We are selling this one on consignment for one of our customers. It's a real beauty! The Guitar is in unbelievable Shape and Condition. Especially for being 55 years old. The only real cosmetic issues I can find are a couple of nicks in the Finish on the Top of the Guitar on the Lower Left side as you are looking at it. I am the second owner of this bass and have had it for 25 years. This bass is all original other than the bridge pick-up which was rewound to spec by Lindy Fralin in 1999. This is a very nice 1965 Gibson J-45 I purchase it from an estate and it is just as I found it except for having a set of light strings put on it. I was told the bridge has been modified so it no longer adjusts. The guitar plays and sounds fantastic The nut width is 42 3 mm The action is very low at the nut but gets higher towards the bridge but is still very playable it has a very small crack from the sound hole to the neck I was told it was probably caused by the original pick guard shrinking.... more

The neck has an indentation above the first fret on the bass side. See pics. It does not affect playability. There is a neck pocket check on the lower side. The finish is very nice. It has a few tiny nicks in the clear, and some swirling around the rear tremolo cover. The tremolo cover is scratched and has a crack (see pics)

1987 Greco SPF-55 Device with Spirit Energy
When I bought this guitar I was told it was a Greco neck on a Fender Contemporary body made in Japan
I had no real reason to believe it wasn??t a genuine Fender Contemporary body because of the shape and amenities of the guitar, specially the Fender adjustable bridge

Your guitar is in very good condition. No cracks or repairs. It has wear being it is almost a 100 years old guitar! Sounds great and plays good. Action is medium and playable throughout. All in all a nice sounding vintage parlor acoustic that will appreciate in value

The almost 100 year old aged solid wood materials on this guitar would surely sound even greater with bridge upgrade and x-brace conversion
