Fender 1957 Tweed Super Amp Amplifier, Dwight Twilly, Girls, Scuba Diver, were all recorded when Bill Pitcock Played through this amp while recording these songs with Dwight Twilly. This particular amp is featured in this month's issue of Vintage Guitar Magazine ,written by Dave Hunter. There is recent proof of a similar 1957 Tweed Super having sold through Heritage Auctions for just over $31, 000 00 . This guitar is a really good player and it has some natural relicing going on. There is some impressions on the fingerboard from use. A few of the frets show wear but they have plenty of life left. I upgraded the pick ups with guitar tech Craig's super 80s clones With Flying Fingers covers and they sound amazing. Everything is stock except for the switch cover that was cracked. Serial number sticker on headstock shows this to be a 79 model. According to their website, in 1979 these were made in Japan. Body and neck are very nice, as you can see in the pictures. Someone did lightly etch 2 initials and their last name into the back of the neck just below the neck plate. It isn't deep and did not cause any flaking or other damage. The case is old, but not original, and not a perfect fit. Still opens and latches and protects it well. Not sure if the volume and tone knobs... more
